A Day at Kew Gardens (3)

After visiting the Temperate House at Kew Gardens, I passed by the pond where swans were tending their cygnets.

I then strolled through a lovely flower garden and on to the Davies Alpine House, a small modern glass house with a variety of Alpine vegetation.

The Princess of Wales Conservatory was the last exhibit I visited. This large, modern glass house has ten climatic zones and currently includes a butterfly exhibit. For more butterfly photos, see my post called Butterflies.

On my way out, I stopped by the gift shop and discovered soft ice, a heavenly soft ice cream that reminded me of the custard ice cream I love, though lighter. After experiencing the crowds of downtown London over the past few days, walking among the trees was rejuvenating. I definitely prefer the parks and open areas.
