A Sense of Place is a travelog about my extraordinary experiences. Every place I visit resonates in a unique, heart-warming way if I pay attention. Geography, weather, architecture, and of course people all make for dynamic and interesting experiences, but there’s something more elusive and personal that I experience when I travel. I endeavor to share those personal stories and perceptions that make travel so interesting to me. It might be the way the light plays across the surface of a pond on a misty day, an encounter with a critter, a lovely vista, or an interaction with friendly people. I might even highlight a shop or business if it has personal significance.
I grew up in California, no more than ten minutes from where I currently live. I’ve been fortunate enough to indulge an adventurous spirit and have visited a handful of unique locales. I intend to explore more and share my experiences with you. Who knows, you may encounter a place you’d like to visit as well and share that with others. I also consider this a sort of Thank You to those people and places I encounter and exchange a bit of time with.
Thank you for sharing your precious time with me, and feel free to share your thoughts.
