Reaching back to my artistic roots with an ink drawing mixed with watercolor. Life drawing was my artistic focus in college, so I’m well versed in drawing and sketching. With my watercolor practice, I’ve created more abstract pieces with a focus on color and the fluid and unpredictable nature of the medium. It was fun to draw again and combine that with watercolor. Also, I’m intrigued with urban sketching and I consider this piece a nod to that genre. The design is based on a pond that sits on a local trail in Mill Creek, Washington.
