After learning how to mount a watercolor painting to a wood panel, I got the idea to do it on a small scale with precut wooden pieces. I adhered the small wooden pieces to the back of a watercolor painting then cut around the wood shapes with an exacto knife, then repeated the process on the other side. The small wood cut-outs already had holes at the top, I just needed to punch through the paper, then I could add string through the hole for hanging. I’m pleased with how they turned out and I’m looking forward to experimenting further. I think these are perfect for creating a really interesting mobile!
