The next quick stop on our trek across the US was the Great Platte River Road Archway, located along Interstate 80, two hours west of Lincoln. The Archway monument houses an American pioneer exhibit highlighting westward expansion. If you fancy sending a letter, there’s a mailbox handy in the lobby.
Instead of exploring the exhibit, we opted for a walk across the road to a serene view, including a small lake with a bridge overlooking a frenzy of fish vying for handouts.
