Dawn Horizon abstract watercolor landscape with custom-mixed ink details. I've had this concept in my mind for a long time (about a year!), and although it's very simple, it's taken some experimenting for it to start coming together. I like this soft view like looking past vast rolling hills toward the sun.

New Life abstract watercolor with gold highlights. I enjoy doing abstracts, but I find maintaining enough simplicity to be a challenge--keep experimenting, learning, evolving!

Hazy Dawn abstract watercolor reminds me of a misty morning with a glowing, hazy sunrise

A good friend of mine requested a design with paw prints that could be printed on a placemat so I came up with this design. It’s now available on Society 6 (https://society6.com/poezy/collection/for-pet-lovers?curator=poezy)
.

Below are some close-ups of the painting. It amazes me how a close-up of one area leaves a completely different impression.

Fall is here and the colors are changing rapidly. Here are some photos I’ve taken near the house.

Ethereal Tide Pool abstract watercolor and custom-mixed inks. I enjoy the meditative aspect of working on fine details and love the textural character it adds. Also, I'm working with much earthier colors at the moment, which I find intriguing. It requires me to add more custom-mixed pigment inks to my collection which is great for expanding my options and adding to the nuance of my work. I really like how moody this piece is.
