Summer Garden

After years of preparing, planting, and tending, the garden is starting to take shape. It is so very satisfying to watch plants grow, fill in empty spaces, and flower throughout the seasons.

Favorites from the front yard include deep orange day lilies, ferns and hardy geranium in the front walkway, a vanilla strawberry hydrangea and an Annabelle hydrangea.

Favorites from the backyard include my new bloodgood maple, a white wedding hydrangea, shasta daisies, meteor shower verbena (clusters of tiny purple flowers), white speedwell, a pink climbing rose, a violet colored hardy geranium, and other colorful varieties of mophead hydrangeas.
