When my mom came to visit at the end of May, we took a walk around Martha Lake. Its banks are lined with houses and a few docks. The docks are surrounded by thickets of trees along the shoreline and colorful lily pads float on the water’s surface, anchored by spiraling stems.
The undulating water and swaying lily pads was relaxing to watch.
This lovely shrub rose is showing off its clear pink flowers for summer.
