Monpazier, France

Monpazier is a small 13th century town that centers around a square filled with boutique shops. Around the periphery of the square are streets that shift from shops to residences as well as the local parish. It’s a bit sleepy, but has some unique shops and beautiful buildings.

This sweet feline was very welcoming and had a bit to say. Also, bring your horse if you like.

The parish church of Monpazier is St Dominique, built from the 13th through 16th centuries.

We took a leisurely walk around the town square, enjoying the historic architecture and beautifully kept facades.

Just outside the vicinity of the square, is a view of the surrounding rolling green hills characteristic of the Perigord region.
