During our short trip to Portland, Rob, Elizabeth and I stayed in a nicely renovated basement of a lovely Victorian, kitted out for Airbnb visitors.

We were situated in Nob Hill, a nice little neighborhood far enough from the problem areas of downtown Portland to feel comfortable and safe. We were just one or two blocks away from a slew of shops, cafes, and restaurants—many individually owned and some chain businesses. The neighborhood was a nice mix of old and new with plenty of unique buildings, gardens, parks and shops to enjoy.
